To make this official, this is a notice to inform all JAMB and WAEC candidates who will be sitting for the upcoming JAMB examination that JAMB subject combination for Vocational and Technical Education has been released by the management of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
Keep in mind that the JAMB subject combinations as well as the o level (WAEC) requirements mentioned on this post are only meant for Vocational and Technical Education under the faculty of Education.
JAMB Subject Combination For Vocational and Technical Education
The required JAMB subject subject combination for Vocational and Technical Education are:
Technical Drawing, a subject of specialization and Mathematics or Physics.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) BSU accepts any three of Mathematics or Physics and any two of Chemistry, Geography, Technical Drawing, Wood Work, Metal Work, Building Technology or Electrical Technology.
WAEC (O Level) Subject Requirements For Vocational and Technical Education
The list of compulsory WAEC subjects required for Vocational and Technical Education under the faculty of are as follows:
Five SSCE credits in NTC, City and Guilds Part I or WAEC Technical and Federal Craft Training Certificate including English Language, Mathematics, Technical Drawing, Physics, subject of specialization.
Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks
(i) EKSU accepts a pass in NCE General English in lieu of ‘O’ level credit pass in English Language.
(ii) UNIOSUN requires Five SSCE Level credit passes in relevant subjects or its equivalent at not more than two sittings in addition to an acceptable pass in the UTME.
(iii) EBSU requires five credit passes For Technology Option: O’ level credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry. For Agric Option:O ‘level credit in English Language, Mathematics, Biology or Agric Science and two other relevant subjects and at least a pass in Chemistry.
(iv) AAU accepts a pass in Mathematics for Secretarial Education.
(v) ESUTECH requires:
a) For Technical credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry and three other relevant subjects.
b) For Accounting/Commerce and Cooperative credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics or Commerce and Principle of Accounts, plus three other relevant subjects.
c) For Agriculture credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, and Chemistry, Agricultural Science or Geography and two other relevant subjects.
(vi) BSU requires credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any two of Chemistry, geography, Technical Drawing, Woodwork, Metalwork, Building Technology or Electrical Technology.
