To make this official, this is a notice to inform all JAMB and WAEC candidates who will be sitting for the upcoming JAMB examination that JAMB subject combination for Technical Education has been released by the management of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

Keep in mind that the JAMB subject combinations as well as the o level (WAEC) requirements mentioned on this post are only meant for Technical Education under the faculty of Education.

JAMB Subject Combination For Technical Education

The required JAMB subject subject combination for Technical Education are:

Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) UNIBEN requires any Science subject in lieu of Chemistry.

(ii) UNILAGOS requires Mathematics, Physics/Technical Drawing, and any other science/technical subjects.

(iii) TASUED requires English Language, Mathematics and any two Science subjects.

(iv) IAUED accepts Physics and any one Science subject or Geography, Economics or Technical Drawing.

(v) UNIZIK accepts Mathematics, Physics and any other subject.

WAEC (O Level) Subject Requirements For Technical Education

The list of compulsory WAEC subjects required for Technical Education under the faculty of are as follows:

Five SSCE credits in relevant subjects which must include English Language and Mathematics or NTC/NBC.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) ESUTECH and MAUTECH accept TC II.

(ii) RSUST requires a credit pass in Physics.

(iii) ESUTECH requires candidate to have credit in the subject area of his option. Also candidate’s UTME subjects must include subject area of his option.

(iv) UNIZIK accepts a pass in ‘O’ level English Language.

(v) IAUED requires credit passes in Technical Drawing and Physics. Accepts WAEC Technical, City and Guilds and Federal Craft Training Certificate.

(vi) RSUST accepts NCE General English and Basic Mathematics in lieu of O’ level credits in English Language and Mathematics.

(vii) UNIBENN requires Mathematics and other subjects chosen from Physics, Chemistry, Applied Electricity, Technical Drawing, Woodwork and Basic Electronics.

(viii) UNIUYO requires credit pass in English Language and Chemistry.

(ix) DELSU requires five O’ Level credit passes including English Language, Physics and a pass Mathematics. C and G with relevant O/L qualification may be an advantage.

(x) TASUED requires Five ‘O’ level credits at one sitting or six ‘O’ level credits at two sit-tings in relevant subjects which must include English Language, Mathematics and any two subjects from physics, chemistry, Technical Drawing, Applied Electricity, Woodwork, Basic Electronics, metal work and auto mechanics or NTC/NBC subjects

(xi) UDUSOK requires Five ‘O’ level credit passes in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any two Science subjects.

(xii) UNILAG also requires credit passes in Physics/Technical Drawing and any other science/technical subjects.
