To make this official, this is a notice to inform all JAMB and WAEC candidates who will be sitting for the upcoming JAMB examination that JAMB subject combination for Insurance has been released by the management of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

Keep in mind that the JAMB subject combinations as well as the o level (WAEC) requirements mentioned on this post are only meant for Insurance under the faculty of Social and Management Sciences.

JAMB Subject Combination For Insurance

The required JAMB subject subject combination for Insurance are:

Mathematics, Economics and any other Social Science subject.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) UNIBEN (for Public Administration) requires Government/History, one Social Science subject and any other subject.

WAEC (O Level) Subject Requirements For Insurance

The list of compulsory WAEC subjects required for Insurance under the faculty of are as follows:

Five SSCE credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and two other relevant subjects.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) LASU:
(a) For Accounting it requires other two relevant subjects could be from any of Principles of Accounts, Commerce, office Practice and Secretarial duties.
(b) For Public Administration if requires ‘O’ Level credit to include English Language, Mathematics, Government, Economics and any one of Principles of Accounts, Commerce, office Practice and Secretariat Studies.
(c) For Business Administration it requires Five ‘O’ level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics plus any three of Economics, Accounting, Commerce, Government and Geography.
(d) For Insurance, it requires Five ‘O’ level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Economics plus any two of Accounting, Business Method, Commerce, Government, Geography and Statistics.
(e) For Marketing, it requires Five ‘O’ level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Economics plus any three of Business Method, Commerce, Book Keeping and Economics.

(ii) UNIBEN (for Insurance) – A pass in Further Mathematics is an advantage.

(ii) UNIBEN (for marketing) requires five credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and two other subjects at not more than two sittings
