To make this official, this is a notice to inform all JAMB and WAEC candidates who will be sitting for the upcoming JAMB examination that JAMB subject combination for Geography has been released by the management of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

Keep in mind that the JAMB subject combinations as well as the o level (WAEC) requirements mentioned on this post are only meant for Geography under the faculty of Sciences.

JAMB Subject Combination For Geography

The required JAMB subject subject combination for Geography are:

Geography and any two of Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Agricultural Science.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) UNIBADAN requires Mathematics / Biology, Chemistry / Physics, Further Maths or Geography.

(ii) ABU requires Geography, Biology and any other Science subject.

(iii) UNN requires Geography and any two subject preferably Arts or Social Science subject.

WAEC (O Level) Subject Requirements For Geography

The list of compulsory WAEC subjects required for Geography under the faculty of are as follows:

Five SSCE credit passes to include English language, Mathematics, Geography and any other two science subjects.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) OOU requires two other Science subjects.

(ii) UNIBADAN requires 5 or 6 ‘O’ level credit passes at one or two sittings to include English Language, Mathematics, Geography, and any two other Science subjects.

(iii) GOMSU accepts Economics.

(iv) UMYU Science Option-Five credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English Language, Mathematics, Geography, and any two of Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Agricultural Science. Humanities Option- Five credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English Language, Mathematics, Geography, and any two of Government, Economics, Commerce and Accounting.

(v) ABU requires Five ‘O’ level credit passes to include English language, Mathematics, Geography, Biology and any other science subjects.

(vi) UNN requires five o’ level credit passes including English Language, Geography and any three from Arts or Social Science subjects and at least a pass in Mathematics.

(vii) KASU only accept among Chemistry, Biology or Physics as the other two Science subjects.

(viii) ABSU requires Five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and any three subjects from Arts, Social Science and Sciences. A credit pass in Geography is compulsory.

(ix) FUTMINNA accepts requires credit pass in Physics and any other science subject.

(x) GODFREY requires two other subjects from Arts or Social Sciences.
