To make this official, this is a notice to inform all JAMB and WAEC candidates who will be sitting for the upcoming JAMB examination that JAMB subject combination for Education Arts has been released by the management of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

Keep in mind that the JAMB subject combinations as well as the o level (WAEC) requirements mentioned on this post are only meant for Education Arts under the faculty of Education.

JAMB Subject Combination For Education Arts

The required JAMB subject subject combination for Education Arts are:

Subject of specialization and any two Arts subjects.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) UNIPORT and EBSU – The subjects of study and two other relevant subjects.

(ii) English Language, the subject to be combined and two other Arts or Social Science subjects. For Education/Music, Education/Creative Art and Education/FAA, English Language and three other Arts subjects.

(iii) UNN requires the subject to be combined and two other Arts or Social Science subject. For Education Music/Education Fine Arts; any three other subjects.

WAEC (O Level) Subject Requirements For Education Arts

The list of compulsory WAEC subjects required for Education Arts under the faculty of are as follows:

Five SSCE credits in relevant subjects including English Language, Mathematics and subject of specialization.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) UNIPORT requires for English, French and Theatre Arts options Literature in English. For History PHC does not accepts Government in liue of History.

(ii) UNN requires Five O’ level credit passes to include the subjects to be combined with Education and a credit or its equivalent in English Language at SSCE or its equivalent.
*For Education/English, Credit in English Language and Literature are compulsory
*For Education/History, Government or History is compulsory
*For Education/French – French is compulsory
*For Education/Igbo Linguistics, Igbo is compulsory.
Candidates for Education Music, Ed/Creative Art and Education Fine and Applied Arts must not possess Music, Creative Art or Fine and Applied Arts respectively at O’ level, but are qualified with Five Credits at a sitting or six credits at two sittings which must include English Language.

(iii) UNICAL accepts a pass in Mathematics.

(iv) UDUSOK requires five O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, and any other three subjects, two of which must be Arts subjects in not more than two sittings.
