To make this official, this is a notice to inform all JAMB and WAEC candidates who will be sitting for the upcoming JAMB examination that JAMB subject combination for Education and Yoruba has been released by the management of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

Keep in mind that the JAMB subject combinations as well as the o level (WAEC) requirements mentioned on this post are only meant for Education and Yoruba under the faculty of Education.

JAMB Subject Combination For Education and Yoruba

The required JAMB subject subject combination for Education and Yoruba are:

Yoruba and any two subjects chosen from History, Lit. in English, French, CRK, Islamic Studies, Arabic and Geography/Physics.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) UNILAG accepts Yoruba and any two of Literature in English, History, Government, French, Geography, Igbo, CRK/IRS, Economics, Commerce, Arabic.

(ii) LASU accepts Government but does not accept Physics.

(iii) TASUED accepts any three subjects from Arts and Social Science subjects.

WAEC (O Level) Subject Requirements For Education and Yoruba

The list of compulsory WAEC subjects required for Education and Yoruba under the faculty of are as follows:

Five SSCE credit or merit passes including English Language and Yoruba.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) LASU and LAGOS require credit pass Mathematics.

(ii) TASUED requires Five ‘O’ level credits at one sitting or six ‘O’ level credits at two sittings to include English Language and any other Arts or Social Science subjects.

(iii) UNILAG requires five credit passes including English, Mathematics, Yoruba and 2 of Literature in English, Igbo, History or Government, Economics, French, IRS, CRS and Arabic
